Under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, the Indian team added another feather to its cap by winning the Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Stadium. Now, everybody wants to know how the Indian team celebration unfolded after the match. 

In a match dominated by spinners, the Indian group of “Fantastic Four” spinners (Axar, Jadeja, Kuldeep, and Varun) confined the black caps to just 251. And when it came to chase the target, Rohit’s heroic, Iyer’s continuity, and KL’s class allowed India to hammer the Kiwis and win the match by 4 wickets. 

Firecrackers, loud cheers, and victory parades turned the night of the 9th March into a carnival for all the Indian fans. And with this victory, Rohit Sharma has become the 2nd captain after MS Dhoni to lead the Indian team to 2 ICC trophies. 

After the glorious victory, the one thing that everybody was waiting for was the Indian Team celebration. Everybody wanted to know how the Indian team would celebrate the long-awaited Champions Trophy and the team members, old veterans and casters didn’t disappoint the fans. 

So, let’s go through the key celebration moments captured after the match by the Indian cricket team and the other legends of cricket.

Indian Team Celebration

Many key moments were captured after India’s triumph. Just like the fans, the entire cricket team, announcers and legends of cricket like Sidhu and Sunil Gavaskar were under a state of sheer bliss. 

Lucky for us, most of these moments were captured on camera and they are going to stay with us till the end. Here are the five memorable moments captured in the camera after the match. 

1. Gautam Gambhir Bhangra Dance

 It’s rare to see Gautam Gambhir smiling and when he raised his hand for Bhangra with Navjot Singh Siddhu, the fans went bananas. Within a couple of minutes, Gautam Gambhir bhangra dance video with Sidhu went viral.

During an interview, Gambhir asked Sidhu to recite one of his shayaris. Sidhu hesitated but when Gambhir said the first line “Fan kuchalne ka hunar sikhiye janab”, Sidhu completed the shayari by saying “saanpo ke dar se jangal nahi chore jaate”. No surprises, as it was the Indian Team Celebration of the Champions Trophy. 

After this, Sidhu asked Gambhir for a little bit of Bhangra to which Gambhir said no with a smiling face and stepped back. But after being insisted by Sidhu, Gambhir raised his hand while Sidhu sang “Ki sauda khara khara”.

2. Sunil Gavaskar Dance of the Decade

It was not just the Indian team under ecstasy but many legends of the Indian cricketing landscape were also lost in the bliss of victory. One such person was Sunil Gavaskar and the video of Sunil Gavaskar Dance Champions Trophy went viral. 

While watching the Indian Team Celebration of Champions Trophy on the stage, Sunil Gavaskar went into a state of euphoria and he began dancing like a child. At that moment, the only thing he cared about was his “pure bliss” for India’s triumph and he danced his heart out.

3. Arshdeep, Jadeja, Harshit Recreate Kohli’s Gangam Style

Kohli’s Gangnam Style dance during the Indian Cricket team celebration after winning the 2013 Champions Trophy became iconic. This was one of the things that stuck to the mind of people as it was a special dance by a special person on a special occasion.

Many people were speculating whether Kohli would do it again after winning the Champions Trophy 2025 or not. But Kohli declined the humble request of doing the Gangnam Style dance by Harshit Rana. But other Indian Cricket team members didn’t disappoint the fans. 

Just after winning the match, Arshdeep, Jadeja, and Harshit Rana did what the fans were waiting for “Gangam Style”.  Star Sports India tweeted “Keeping the tradition alive” with the images of both Kohli’s celebration in 2013 and Jadeja, Arshdeep and Harshit’s Gangam style in 2025. 

4. Kohli Touches Shami’s Mother’s Feet After India Team Celebration

 India team celebration wasn’t only confined to signature steps, cheering, and dandiya with wickets. There were also moments of respect and culture after the memorable win as well. 

After the match, there was a family get together for many players. Subhman hugged his dad with a big smile. Rohit was seen holding his wife’s hand while hugging his daughter. And Kohli and Jadeja were also seen with their wives. 

But there was an emotional and respectful moment after the match as well. When Shami introduced Kohli to his mother, Kohli didn’t waste a second to bow down and touch Shami’s mother’s feet. And just in a couple of seconds “Virat Kohli touches Shami’s mother’s feet” began trending on Twitter. 

It was a moment of respect, but this was not the first time. Virat Kohli has been touching his old coach’s feet in the past. Surely, Virat Kohli is a man of culture and tradition.

5. Hardik Pandya Bhangra With Navjot Singh Sidhu

It felt like Sidhu paji was on a “Mission Bhangra” after the match. As Hardik was about to leave the frame, Sidhu requested Pandya to do a step, at least bhangra. Pandya innocently replied “Mereko bhangra thore ata hai”. 

But then Pandya raised both his hands and did what Sidhu requested, “Bhangra” and soon Sidhu paji also joined him. Pandya ended the step by reciting Sidhu’s famous line “Oh cha gaye guru”.

The entire nation was celebrating India’s exceptional victory and nobody left the TV screen even after the match was finished. Every Indian fan wanted to witness these sweet moments which will always be remembered whenever anyone will talk about Champions Trophy 2025. 

The Indian team celebration felt like a big family enjoying their success after hard work and sheer determination. Champions Trophy is coming home now and the white jackets will showcase India’s gleaming victory crafted with perfection.
